Gascony is renowned throughout France, and further afield, for the excellence of its food products. In many ways it is the larder of France, providing top quality fruits, poultry, meat and foie gras, chocolates, wines, aperitifs and, of course, Armagnac, the world’s oldest brandy.

The food at Laouarde aims to reflect this legacy using seasonal produce, much of it home-grown, to create delicious meals reflecting the best of French cooking and that of our near neighbours in Spain and Italy.

A buffet breakfast is included in the room price. Breakfast is served between 8 – 10 am on the front terrace or in the dining room according to the weather. Lunches are not catered for.

Table d’hôte evening meals are available from Sunday to Wednesday at 8pm. Dinner costs 35 euros per person (for 3 or 4 courses depending upon menu. Aperitif, wine, and coffee or tea are included in this price). Dinners must be booked 24 hours in advance and we regret that we cannot cater for any special diets. Dinner is served either in our olive-shaded courtyard or on the sun terrace on warm evenings, or in the dining room.

For those who wish to eat out, at either lunch or dinner, there are a number of good local restaurants just a short drive away and we are happy to make bookings on your behalf. (We keep a spare satnav for anyone dining out further afield).
