How to find us.

Laouarde is in the heart of the Gers (Department 32) in the Midi-Pyrenees region of South West France. The area is well served by air, rail and road links but public transport is quite sparse outside the major towns and you will need to a car to make the most of your stay. Detailed directions to Laouarde will be provided on booking, but some travel options into the region are given below.

Plane

Laouarde is just over 1 hour’s drive west from Toulouse airport which has daily flights from Gatwick, Heathrow and numerous other UK regional airports as well as from Paris and other European cities. BA, easyJet and BMI Baby are the main UK carriers. There are also regular Ryanair flights from Stanstead into Lourdes, and several daily Air France flights from Paris into Pau, which is a 1½ hour drive south. The airports at Biarritz, Bordeaux, Carcassone and Bergerac are also all within a 3 hour drive and may be options to consider particularly for those taking a 2-centre or touring holiday in the region.

Car-hire from all major car rental companies is available at these airports.

Train

Our nearest high speed railway link runs from Agen, just over one hour’s drive north of Laouarde. It takes under 3 hours to reach Bordeaux by TGV from Paris, some of these trains then stop at Agen on their way to Toulouse. Alternatively, it is possible to change trains at Bordeaux for a local connecting service to Agen. Both Bordeaux and Agen have car hire facilities available at the station.

Ferry Car

If driving from the UK, allow for a 10-hour drive from Calais ferry terminal or Eurotunnel, and around 8 hours from the other channel ports. Alternatively, we are just under 4 hours north of Bilbao and 5 hours north of Santander, into which there are ferry sailings from Portsmouth and Plymouth respectively.
